Shawl Weaving Artisan - Winding and Warping
Storing warped yarn and ensuring stability
Objectives : At the end of this exercise you shall be able to
• learn how to keep the warped yarn beam safe and in good condition after warping is done, until it is used
in weaving.
Requirements
Tools/Equipment’s/Instruments
• Warped beam - 1 No. • Labels or paper tags - as reqd.
• Plastic sheet or cloth to cover - as reqd. • Trolley or beam stand - 1 No.
• Rope or rubber bands to tie yarn ends - as reqd. • Pen and notebook - 1 No each.
PROCEDURE
Step 1: Check the beam before storage. • Use a paper tag or sticker and write

Step 5: Store Beam in the Right Place
